Ooh, Doctor Nookey! Bodily functions always gave the hospital Carry Ons a head start, and this is one of the best.
‘Long Hampton Hospital’ is the Ceremonial Entrance to Maidenhead Town Hall, St Ives Road, Maidenhead It had previously been the much more blandly named ‘Borough County Hospital’ in CARRY ON DOCTOR, and went on to become a university for Carry On Behind.
The ‘Moore-Nookey Clinic’ (go on, say it out loud) is Heatherden Hall, the building at the heart of the Pinewood Studios complex, regularly drafted in for the low-low-budget series (it was the hospital in Carry On Nurse, for example). It's actually the studio administrative building.
After returning from the tropical island with a lucrative slimming cure, Dr Nookey (Jim Dale) sets up his consulting rooms at 12 Park Street, Windsor, just a few doors away from the familiar location seen in both Carry On Loving and Carry On Regardless.
