Sadly, the wit and invention of the first two movies is replaced by endless slam-bang 3-D cartoon graphics filmed in the studio.
The deserted water park, ‘Agua Park’, in the Chinatown spoof opening is Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort, 588 South Union Avenue, in New Braunfels, about 20 miles northeast of San Antonio.
The final battle, in the real world, is fought on Congress Avenue, in front of the Texas State Capitol Building, alongside the Paramount Theatre – which is where the concert at the end of Spy Kids 2 was filmed.
