Two years after the ‘Woodsboro’ murders, and Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) is attending college, when the fictionalised version of the killings, Stab, is released. Oh, and there are some more killings.
We seem to have moved away from California. ‘Windsor College’ is Agnes Scott College, 141 East College Avenue, Decatur, outside Atlanta, Georgia.
It's back to the west coast, though, for some locations. The sorority house, where Sidney is relaxing at a party while CiCi (Sarah Michelle Gellar) meets the Ghostface killer, is 350 South Grand Avenue at Arbor Street in Pasadena, east of Los Angeles.
Also in California are the setting for Stab and its première. The movie-within-a-movie was shot at Malibu.
The première was filmed in the beautiful little Vista Theater, 4473 Sunset Drive, Hollywood (which you've probably seen as the ‘Detroit’ movie house at the opening of Tony Scott’s True Romance). Its interior also stood in for Santa Monica’s Aero cinema in Get Shorty.
That’s not the exterior of the Vista, though. The cinema frontage is the Rialto Theatre, 1023 South Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena. Currently closed, the Rialto was seen in Robert Altman’s The Player, in John Landis’ Kentucky Fried Movie and of course it's where Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone watch Rebel Without A Cause in La La Land.
