Robin Hood | 1991

Totally overshadowed by the flashy Kevin Costner movie, Robin Hood, Prince Of Thieves, made the same year, this version was largely shot around Peckforton Castle, on the A49 just south of the A51, between Chester and Nantwich, Cheshire. Don’t be deceived by its Medieval appearance, Peckforton is really a Victorian house built in the 1840s, and now functioning as a luxury hotel-wedding venue.
Also in Cheshire are featured the caves of nearby genuinely Medieval Beeston Castle and Woodland Park, as well as Tatton Park; and the countryside around the village of Betwys-y-Coed in North Wales.
