Kevin Smith's follow up to Clerks, the second film in his intricately interconnected View Askewniverse (although the events precede Clerks). The local 'New Jersey' mall in which a bunch of bickering teens hang out is the Eden Prairie Center Mall, but it's not in New Jersey. It's 8251 Flying Cloud Drive, Eden Prairie, Minneapolis, off I-212 in Minnesota.
Eden Prairie Center underwent heavy renovations in 2003 and the mall now appears nothing like it does in the movie. The movie theatre was moved from the lower level to the upper level, along with a vast food court.
