Barefoot In The Park | 1967
Corie and Paul Bratter (Jane Fonda and Robert Redford) are struggling newlyweds in this film of an early Neil Simon play.
After a cutesy horse-drawn carriage ride through Central Park, the couple spend their honeymoon at the Plaza Hotel, Fifth Avenue at 59th Street (at $30 a night – this really was 1967).
The Bratters’ apartment, supposedly on the top floor of ‘49 West 10th Street’, is 111 Waverly Place, off the northwest corner of Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village.
And this, of course, is the park where Corie finally gets uptight lawyer husband Paul to get shoeless and loosen up a little.
