American Pie 2 | 2001

American Pie location: Country Club Drive, Long Beach, Los Angeles
American Pie location: Michelle’s house in ‘East Great Falls’: Cedar Avenue, Long Beach, Los Angeles

On to college, and a little more crudity without the Weitz brothers. Apart from a couple of second unit shots of the gang driving through Michigan (it’s not really them), the whole movie was made around Los Angeles again and once again the home of Jim Levenstein (Jason Biggs) is 4153 Cedar Avenue, Long Beach.

Deceptively dweeby bandster Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) lives nearby at 3925 Cedar Avenue.

‘East Great Falls Regional Airport’ is Long Beach Airport, 4100 Donald Douglas Drive, and the hospital to which Jim gets taken after supergluing himself to – erm – himself, is Long Beach Community Hospital, 1720 Termino Avenue, which was also the hospital in Spider-Man.

School this time around is UCLA (University College of Los Angeles) and although the exterior of 'Dog Years' is Caffe Opera, Monrovia, again, the interior had to be recreated in the studio.

Vicky and Jessica get a summer job in Aardvark’s Vintage Clothing Store, now a furniture store, at 1253 East Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena.

For the arrival in ‘Michigan’, Main Street, Seal Beach, became ‘Grand Harbor’, where the bridge is Davies Bridge on East Second Street.

The lakefront resort is Paradise Cove, Malibu, and ‘Tall Oaks Band Camp’, where Jim sneaks out to meet Michelle, is Camp JCA Shalom, 34342 Mulholland Highway in Malibu, though the band show itself was filmed up in Altadena, north of Pasadena.

American Pie filming location: Country Club Drive, Long Beach, Los Angeles
American Pie location: redecorating the house: Country Club Drive, Long Beach, Los Angeles

The house the lads get a summer job redecorating, where Paul Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) explains the joys of tantric sex, is 4165 Country Club Drive, yes, back in Long Beach. It's not yellow, it's blue and pink!

The ‘New York’ street from which Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth) phones is West 7th Street in downtown LA with the twin towers matted in, and ‘Spain’ – despite the elaborate dressing – is Pasadena City Hall, 100 North Garfield Avenue at Holly Street. It’s a screen regular seen in Charlie Chaplin’s 1940 satire The Great Dictator, A Walk In The Clouds and Beverly Hills Cop II.
