Getting around: Port Authority of Allegheny County is the public transit agency for the greater Pittsburgh area, providing bus, light rail, incline and paratransit service.

For bus service and the 'T' (Pittsburgh's light rail system), you pay as you enter. Exact change is required when paying with cash. Travel within Downtown and the North Shore is free on the 'T'.

ConnectCard is a reusable plastic smart card that makes paying your fares faster, easier and more secure than paying with cash. Visitors and occasional riders can buy ConnecTix (limited-use smart cards) at ConnectCard machines.
