Fourth, and last, of the sixties Agatha Christie series, with Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple, investigating a murder shipboard.
Miss Marples’ ‘Milchester’ cottage can be seen on Village Road at the Misbourne Bridge in the village of Denham, Buckinghamshire, a couple of miles north of Uxbridge.
Denham itself becomes ‘Milchester’, and you can still see the bow-windowed shop at which Miss Marple gets her naval outfit.
No stranger to the big screen, the village was conveniently close to the old Denham Film Studios.
The coastal town, where Marple solves the murder, is St Mawes, near Falmouth on the south coast of Cornwall.
