It’s a return to Robertson (see Babe) for the ‘Hoggett’s Farm’ scenes in this commercially unsuccessful but dark and imaginative sequel, which was directed by George Miller himself.
The ‘Flealands Hotel’ and its quirky neighbourhood were constructed at the new Fox Studios in Sydney. The art deco ‘Metro Theatre’ is a copy of the real music venue, at 624 George Street, central Sydney, which also happens to house the film company’s production offices.
