Amsterdamned | 1988
Enjoyable, low-budget indie-horror with an eco-message has something murderous lurking in the canals of central Amsterdam, and director Dick Maas making the narrow waterways strangely threatening.
The first victim meets a nasty end by the bridge at the junction of the two canals, Keizersgracht and Reguliersgracht. The two conservationists are clipped on the southern shore of main waterway Het Ij, north of Havens Oost, at the end of the 28 bus route.
The Salvation Army collector turns up, with toes turned up, on the north shore of the Amstel at Oude Turfmarkt just to the south of Dam Square.
