Los Angeles: Flights: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

The final film in the second phase of Star Trek movies, until the franchise was rebooted as simply Star Trek in 2009

The gap since the last Star Trek movie (Insurrection in 1998) was an indication that the franchise was running out of steam, and it’s the last in the series until JJ Abrams’ total Star Trek reboot in 2009.

The planet Kolarus III, on which Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) takes the Argo for a bit of off-roading, and discovers pieces of Data’s prototype, B-4, is one of those planets whose surface looks uncannily like the southern California desert. It’s the desert west of Lancaster.
