Second of the Margaret Rutherford-Miss Marple movies is an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s After the Funeral, with Marple investigating the demise of a man scared to death by a pussycat. Suspicious, huh?
Shot around the village of Denham, on the A4020, northwest of Uxbridge; at Aldenham, to the northeast of Watford.
Miss Marple discovers the murder at Hilfield Castle, Hilfield Lane, just off the A41 north of Bushey in Hertfordshire (seen as ‘Castle Quilty’ in Stanley Kubrick’s 1962 film of Lolita). This is a private home, not visible from the road.
