WELCOME to the NEW Movie-Locations.com.
The look has changed but – don’t panic! – the structure is pretty much the same.
If you ever wanted to visit the filming locations of your favourite movie, or simply wondered ‘Where did they film that?’, you’ll find all the info you need here – along with original location photographs, trivia and, most importantly, links to essential travel details with hotels, bars, tourist attractions and more.
Since its launch in 1999, The Worldwide Guide To Movie Locations has been the travel guide to film locations around the world.
We’ve tried to keep the format simple and easy-to-use – you can choose to navigate the site by film title, by country (and sometimes by state county or city), or by browsing the name of your favourite actor or director.
This is our biggest overhaul in nearly 20 years so there are inevitably going to be some teething problems. If anything doesn’t seem to be working properly or just looks odd, please let us know at email@example.com.
This is only the first stage. We’ll be adding more content and enhancements in the coming months, including a new site-wide search function.
Now get ready to travel (if only in your imagination)…
If you’re planning a location trip and you want to find a hotel, click here to compare prices – just enter your destination and travel dates, and let the search engine find the best deal for you.
Plan your visit in advance, and give yourself plenty of time to cover all the filming locations you want to see.
Circumstances are constantly changing so before your trip, check that any businesses and attractions are still in operation. Always check opening days and hours, and be aware of local holidays.
The options, from wide-open landscapes to private homes, are endless and although most commercial venues will welcome your custom, please respect the privacy of homeowners and do not ever disturb residents.
Some locations are not visible from public thoroughfares and are listed here purely for completeness. We do our best to check whether this is the case and, if so, we’ll tell you.
Despite the temptation, please do not ever attempt to trespass on private property. This kind of arrogant behaviour reflects badly on all of us and makes movie tourism less welcome.
Be nice, be respectful and don’t be a numpty.
The site is run in association with the books The Worldwide Guide To Movie Locations and Movie London.
Titles with links have full entries on the site – other unlinked titles listed can be found in the books. All the titles will eventually have full entries, so check back often.
